Fashion for Paws® (F4P) benefiting the Washington Humane Society (WHS) began in 2007 with the first spring Runway Show. In just its first 6 years, the Fashion for Paws® Runway Show, designed by Syzygy Events International, has been a great success, selling more than 1,700 tickets each year, raising nearly $3 million for WHS and generating a significant amount of national and regional media coverage.

Notables involved include: Marie Osmond, Val Kilmer, E! News' Ashlan Gorse, former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino, Redskin Fred Davis, Entertainment Tonight's Lawrence Zarian, Animal Planet’s Victoria Stilwell, Italian Ambassador Giovanni Castellaneta, MSNBC’s, Luke Russert, CNN International's Philippe Cousteau, Fox News Channel’s Courtney Friel, CW/VHI’s Paul Wharton, DeepDish’s Arash Shirazi, ABC7’s Steve Chenevey, ABC’s Scott Thuman, NBC's Angie Goff, ESPN’s Lindsay Czarniak, and Event Chairman, MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor.

Models:

The models walking the runway raise a minimum of $5,000 for WHS to participate, with many escorting their fashionably dressed dog down the runway. Designer doggie couture is organized by Wagtime, DC's premier doggie daycare, groomer and pet boutique. Women’s and men’s ready-to-wear apparel is provided exclusively by Tysons Galleria, home to the world’s most luxurious retailers.  

The event features an awards reception to honor the F4P top fundraiser, winning "Model Washingtonian of the Year," and the first and second runner up on the runway April 13^th. The winners will be chosen based on who has raised the most money in a friendly fundraising competition in the 9 weeks leading up to the event. All models who raise $10,000+ are included in the 2014 Fashion for Paws® Runway Show Super Model Calendar.

The Runway Show Event:

Yearly, there are more than 65 VIP seated tables ranging from $3,000 to $6,000 served a three course meal by our sponsor, Design Cuisine, with a select number of very special VVIP tables right next to the runway for $10,000. We have individual table seats available ($250) behind the $3,000 tables and 900 general attendees ($150).

More than 1,700 F4P attendees will revel in the transformation of the National Building Museum on April 13^th by sponsors, Syzygy Event International, Atmosphere Inc., Design Cuisine and Edge Floral Event Designers (and so many more) donating a combined total of $420,000 in set design, production, lighting, sound, staging, food, flowers and more.

Hair and make-up provided by Toka Salon & Day Spa, one of the very top salon/spas in Washington, DC and up and coming salon on Madison Avenue, created by the world renowed stylist, Nuri Yurt.  

Wagtime

All doggie couture is organized by Wagtime; DC's premier doggie daycare, groomer and pet boutique. More than 60 dogs owned by the models walking the runway are dressed to correspond with the participating retailers of Tysons Galleria's spring collections.

F4P History:

In the fall of 2009, F4P launched as a year-round program based on the brand of annual spring Runway Show. Through an array of themed fringe events, product merchandising opportunities, corporate sponsorships, individual gifts, and social media, F4P continually raises funds for WHS. All program initiatives serve as a platform to build up to the main event – the annual spring Runway Show based in Washington, DC.
